Safflower Oil

There are two types of Safflower Oil, High Oleic and High Linoleic. Safflower Oil High Oleic is predominantly monounsaturated making it a suitable cooking oil. It has a similar fatty acid composition to Olive Oil allowing it to be used on a wide range of food related applications.

Safflower Oil High Linoleic contains high levels of the omega 6 essential fatty acid, which is important for growth and development. High levels of this polyunsaturated fatty acid make it unstable for cooking purposes. It does however make an ideal oil for salads and dressings with its added nutritional benefits.
